Janel and her family have been friends of the Scade family for many many years. We were thrilled to have the opportunity to photograph her and Ben's wedding day! Shaun and I were booked with another wedding already, so Gordon and one of our wonderful second shooters, Sara were there for their gorgeous day. (We were able to come by at the end of the night to have a drink and dance with the couple for a bit too!!)
Their ceremony was held at the University of Alberta's Timm's Centre. This is such a pretty venue for a ceremony, as the huge window's allow for some gorgeous light to shine in on the couple as they shared there vows.
Gord said they all had a blast taking some formal portraits in and around the grounds of UofA, and then afterwards went for drinks at the Hotel MacDonald before heading back for their reception.
The private reception at Edmonton's Downtown Sorrentino's restaurant was such a nice way for close family and friends to celebrate. It made for such a great intimate atmosphere during dinner and speeches. The dinner, catered by Sonny Sung... was absolutely incredible and was followed by a ton of dancing!
