I've actually known Jessica for many many years. She's been a close family friend to a few of my cousins! As the years have gone by and we've grown up to have families I've seen her family grow from having one little girl, to include a set of twins, and then one more sweet baby girl! Watching her with these little beauties has been inspiring. Obviously not every day is a fairy tale, but she makes raising strong, creative and intelligent little women look easy! I was thrilled when she asked us to photograph her family this fall. She had a vision we were easily on board with. Sunny skies and an Alberta prairie wheat field. It was such a great session and so fun to capture the close bond they all have with each other! Brad's a lucky guy. Even if he is extremely out numbered. :P
Here are a few of our favorites from the session! Also, thanks so much to our cousin's Tasha and Steve for letting us use their wheat field. xox.
Edmonton Lifestyle Photography - Emma and her Momma
This sweetheart will be one next month. The first birthday is such a special milestone. It's not just a celebration for their birthday, but also a date to acknowledge the parents. Getting through the first year is huge. So much is experienced and shared. Things change rapidly, and this time in their lives marks the beginning of toddlerhood. I had a great time photographing these two, and their sweet bond. Emma is adorable. She is a sweet, spirited and a social butterfly. She's bound for greatness. :)
Documentary Family Photography - Donna, Roger and Adeline
Donna and Roger have been having the best time with little Miss Adeline!! She's adorable and lovable and keeps them on their toes! We had a blast photographing their documentary session a few weeks ago. She's almost one and already knows how to help prep dinner.
Documentary sessions are special because we get to spend extra time really watching and photographing the family dynamics. People start to show us their true selves a little more, and we get to document the real life part of family life. The fun, the mess, the work, the play, and the all the love. This one started out in the late afternoon, and we were able to stay from playtime, through dinner and getting ready for bed.
